there is 2 ways to do this...you can either turn everything into decimals, and compare, or you can change it where all the fractions have the same denominator, and compare them.
It would be obvious that 1/8 is the smallest and 7/12 is the biggest. Then, have a look at whether the numerators are more than or less than half of the denominator. if they both are smaller (in this case 3/8 and 5/12), then follow texas' method to see which is bigger
