how do you find the length ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (somy):

Pythagoras Theorem \[a ^{2} + b ^{2 } = c ^{2}\]

OpenStudy (somy):

we can take KJ as 'a' JL as 'c' and KL as 'b' c is going to for sure be JL because it has to be hypotenuse

OpenStudy (somy):

so now you do have 'c' and 'a' so find b

OpenStudy (somy):

rearrange the equation you will get it like this \[c ^{2}- a ^{2} =b ^{2}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh okay thank you !

OpenStudy (somy):

so \[b =\sqrt{c ^{2}- a ^{2}}\]

OpenStudy (somy):

you are welcome :)))
