How do I set this up?
OpenStudy (mathmale):
(10x-2), (3x+9) and (3x-3) represent measures of the angles (not sides) of triangle OPQ.
This is a triangle. What is the sum of all of the angles of any triangle? Does this question give you any clue regarding what to do?
OpenStudy (cwrw238):
you cannot find the lengths of the sides from this info only the angles
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Would it be PO, PQ, OQ

OpenStudy (cwrw238):
those are the sides not the angles
the sum of the 3 angles add up to 180 degrees ( in all triangles)
OpenStudy (cwrw238):
once you have found the values of the angles you can arrange the sides from longest to shortest. ( The longest side will be opposite the longest angle)
OpenStudy (anonymous):
What formula would I use to find the angles though?
OpenStudy (cwrw238):
the sum of the angles = 180

Okay thank you
OpenStudy (cwrw238):
set up the equation and solve for x
from this value you will find the values of angles
O, P and Q.
