(-3,7) slope of -1/5

OpenStudy (igreen):

Is (-3, 7) the y-intercept, or a point on the graph?

OpenStudy (imstuck):

My guess for this is that you are to write an equation with a slope of -1/5 going through the point (-3, 7), right?

OpenStudy (igreen):

Nevermind, it can't be the y-intercept..

the best thing to do is use maybe a graph printed out of geogebra

*or

OpenStudy (igreen):

Plot (-3, 7), then put the equation y = -1/5x. Then you add/subtract a whole number till the line reaches (-3, 7).

OpenStudy (igreen):

Your equation is \(y = -\Large\frac{1}{5}\)\(x+6.4\)
