Could someone give me a Percent Change formula? Will give medal c: (I looked one up but It didn't get the answer)

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

Say you have an item worth $100 Then the item increases to $125 The change in value is 125 - 100 = 25 dollars Then you divide that by the initial value: 25/100 = 0.25 So the percent change is 25% (this is a percent increase of 25%)

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

In general, the formula is |dw:1404167689336:dw|

Oh well the one I tried at first was similar, just messed up. Thanks for the help!

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

If the new value happens to be smaller than the old value, then the "(new value) - (old value)" will be negative. This points to a negative percent which reflects a percentage decrease.
