You still have me confused on the interval thing...

you get cos x =0 --> x = pi/2 and 3pi/2 . If you don't have that interval, then, the perfect solution is x = \(\dfrac {\pi}{2}+2\pi n\) or x = \(\dfrac {3\pi}{2}+2\pi n\)
However, your interval restricts the \(2\pi n\) part, then it is just \(\pi/2\) or \(3\pi/2\)
