Which of the following levels is the most efficient at energy conversion? a. producers b. primary consumers c. secondary consumers d. tertiary consumers

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Spikers As you move "up" trophic levels, only 10% of the energy is conserved. So, if a deer eats a plant, it only gets 10% of the total possible energy it could get from the plant. If a wolf eats the deer, the same thing, 10%. So where would you find the most efficient if energy is lost due to inefficiency as we move up trophic levels>

OpenStudy (deepika.comet):

ya @mrdoldum is right what he told is nothing but called as ten percent rule energy is always lost as we move on and it is also moving in only one direction

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A. Producers?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Spikers Yes.
