which of the following is an si base unit for measuring length inch gram meter mole
Hello, welcome to OpenStudy! This subject, Computer Science, isn't the greatest for a question of your sort. I see you've tried the Mathematics section. I may recommend trying Physics or Chemistry as well. However, this time I will give you some assistance here. :) So we can just go through the options here, or we might already have an idea of which is which. (A) Inches. This would be a good guess because inches do measure length. I can measure, say, my hand in inches or a foot in inches. But it isn't an SI unit, it is a US customary unit of measure. So it cannot be Inches. (B) Grams. This is an SI base unit... kind of, but it isn't a measure of length. Grams is used to measure mass. So Grams cannot be it either. (C) Meters. If you were thinking this one, you are correct. The SI base unit for length is meters. Before we stop here, let's just make sure the next one makes sense. (D) Moles. This is a more obscure SI base unit. A mole to molecules is a lot like dozens to apples. Much like you'd call a batch of 12 apples a dozen, you'd call 6.022x10^23 molecules (this is a large number, clearly) one mole of that molecule. But moles do -not- measure length, they measure what can be called an 'amount' in quantity, just like a dozen apples is just an amount of apples.
