Simplify the Expression https://study.ashworthcollege.edu/access/content/group/38441f94-71d6-46e6-8dd7-ece73f5a6548/algebra1_exam_10_files/mc008-1.jpg
Like I said, I suck so badly at math.
\[\sqrt{10}-4\sqrt{10}\] think of √10 as X X -4X = ?
you can factor out the X term X -4X = (1-4)X and simplify the numbers
i'm completely lost :\
1 -4 ?
-3
yeah, so X -4X = (1-4)X = -3X
√10 -4√10 is just the same √10 -4√10 = (1 -4)√10 = . . .
-3 √10????????
yes that is correct
thank youuu
could you help me with one more, @UnkleRhaukus ?
ok
What is the measure of side c in the triangle below? https://study.ashworthcollege.edu/access/content/group/3759324e-d83a-428d-845d-dea00f763364/Monica/Geometry/t1.png
that's pythagorus Pythagorus' theorem say that If \(a\), \(b\) and \(c\) are the sides of a right angled triangle, where \(c\) the is hypotenuse (longest side) Then \[a^2+b^2=c^2\]
solving this equation for the hypotenuse we get \[\sqrt{a^2+b^2}=c\]
okay.
so the diagram gives you a and b , and c is c
