2nd option is correct..i think

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

y = -3x + 12 we need to find the slope of this line because a parallel lone will have the same slope. In y = mx + b form, the slope is in the m position. Therefore, the slope we are looking for will be -3. Now we take y = mx + b slope(m) = -3 (-1,6)...x1 = -1 and y1 = 6 now we sub 6 = -3(-1) + b we will be solving for b, the y intercept 6 = 3 + b 6 - 3 = b 3 = b so our parallel equation is : y = -3x + 3 any questions ?
