Use a calculator to evaluate cot π/5.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

cot = 1/tan. On a calculator that usually is the button \[\tan ^{-1}\] You'll also have to alter the calculator so that it works with radians, instead of degrees.

Its not working

I don't know or have your calculator. I think you should look up the manual for your type of calculator. Look up how you can switch between degrees or 'rad'/'radian'. The tan^(-1) usually is the alternative of the tan button (written above it in another color). You'll have to press the button '2dn' or something like that and then press tan, so it uses tan^-1, then plug in pi (which is also on your calculator)/5. But it has to be set to radian before you do it.

If you don't have a manual you can always google your type of calculator (google the number and abbrevation written on top of it) and then you can look up how to change from degree to radian

Im using the calculator on my phone and school doesnt allow google.

I don't think your phone has a scientific calculator. So you won't be able to use that to solve such problems.

okay. so can you help me?
