What value of n makes the following a proportion?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\frac{ 30 }{ n } = \frac{ 12 }{ }\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh sorry the number under the 12 is 16

sammixboo (sammixboo):

Okay si your problem is \(\large\sf\frac{30}{n} = \frac{12}{16}\)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes :)

sammixboo (sammixboo):

Dang it o-o Hold on just a sec

OpenStudy (anonymous):

was that wrong casue i dont have an answer choice like that

sammixboo (sammixboo):

Yeah it was wrong xD I started doing proportions then I switched to something else xD

sammixboo (sammixboo):

Okay here we go again xD \(\large\sf\frac{30}{n} = \frac{12}{16}\) To do this you must first divide 30 by 12... What is \(\sf\ 30 ÷ 12\)?

sammixboo (sammixboo):

Next you have to take the answer to \(\sf\ 30÷12\) and multiply it by 16 and that is your answer.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

40?

sammixboo (sammixboo):

Yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks :)

sammixboo (sammixboo):

No problem :D Sorry for what I did earlier xD I started doing this, but slowly started to do something else o-o

sammixboo (sammixboo):

Here can you make a new question?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

opps sorry i got the answer but 1 more :)

sammixboo (sammixboo):
