Please Help!!!!!!!!!!!!

OpenStudy (softballgirl372015):

I need help finding the equation of the line through (1,2) and the point of intersection of x+2y=3 and 2x-3y=-1

geerky42 (geerky42):

so you have system of equations to solve for point: x + 2y = 3 2x - 3y = -1 You would need to solve for x and y. better start by isolate x in first equation.

OpenStudy (softballgirl372015):

Okay. Thanks! After I solve for x and y, what do I have to do next?

OpenStudy (softballgirl372015):

For x I got 11/7 and for y I got 5/7

OpenStudy (softballgirl372015):

Whoops. I checked over my work and I got that x=1 and y=1

OpenStudy (softballgirl372015):

Okay, so I tried to find the slope of the line that contains the points (1,2) and (1,1) but it is undefined since I get (1-2)/(1-1) What do I have to do now? Does that mean that the line is undefined as well?

geerky42 (geerky42):

yep x=1 and y=1. If your slope is undefined, that mean line that pass through these points is vertical.

geerky42 (geerky42):

so your line is vertical

OpenStudy (softballgirl372015):

Ohhh!! Okay. But how do I find what x equals?
