Due to overfarming a field, the soil has become unsuitable for growing crops and is now covered with weeds. Even the worms, which would have been helpful in restoring the soil's fertility, are gone. Which interference most likely occurred? Human interference led to the decomposition of the materials in the field, making it more fertile. Human interference led to increased productivity of the field. Human interference led to a change in the ecological succession of the field.

The Last One C

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ecological succession is the observed process of change in the species structure of an ecological community over time.

Yup its the first one!

OpenStudy (abhisar):

if fertility is increased then how it is unsuitable for growing crop @Gabebro13 ?

OpenStudy (abhisar):

I think it should be C

Oh crap I miss read it! I thought it was the other way around! @Abhisar you are completely right! Sorry for that huge mistake.

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Its ok :)

It is the last one, though it is a bad question with horrible answers. Soil cannot have "fertility" and human interference in using it as a crop field already changed the succession. One could also make the argument that B is okay because it doesn't specify what exactly had the productivity increased. We definitely made the field better for "weeds."
