i need to find the slope of a graph

OpenStudy (anonymous):

where is the graph..?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

there it is

OpenStudy (anonymous):

see...at what value it touches x-axis and y-axis... tell me.?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what do you mean

OpenStudy (anonymous):

see the graph at what point it croses x-axis and y-axis..?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

negative 6 and 4 i think

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ummm///see it touches x-axis at -6 so x=-6 and touches y-axis at 4 so y= 4 now to find slope...formula is.. m=slope=-y/x=-4/-6=2/3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ooo ok i see now

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but like are you sure those are the numbers

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yuppp...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is that i dont have that answer on my choices

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It goes up 4 times and to the side 5 times to get from the first point to the second. So your slope is \[\frac{ 4 }{ 5 }\] One way to tell if it is positive 4 or negative 4 is is the line goes up you will have a positive slope. If the line goes down you will have a negative slope.
