If y = 3, simplify the expression x + 2y + 7.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

in this case replace \(y\) by \(3\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you get \[x+2\times 3+7\] the some arithmetic to finish it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

please tell your math teacher that this is not called "simplify"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well thats why i didnt understand it and its not a teacher its summer school

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh yeaaa

OpenStudy (anonymous):

final answer is \(x+13\) are there no teachers in summer school?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea its online

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but you learn it yourself

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no an expression does not need an equal sign an equation has an equal sign

OpenStudy (anonymous):
