so maybe you could help?

What kind of friend asks that? :) Anyway, let's look at answer A. It states the the cubic root of x cubed is the same as... So, let's work it out. Comparing the two: exponents and square roots, how do they relate? In what ways do they interact?

OpenStudy (jenniferjuice):

a and d relate to each other ..?

OpenStudy (jenniferjuice):

OpenStudy (noseboy908):

Well, they all relate to eachother, I'm just asking how exponents and square roots interact when combined.

OpenStudy (jenniferjuice):

you add them together right?

OpenStudy (noseboy908):

Hmm, no. I mean what do you get when you apply the xth root of of a number to x to the xth power. There is a something that always happens when you combine something with the xth power with the xth square root, when x is the same number.

OpenStudy (jenniferjuice):

and if i said i didn't know would that be bad :/

OpenStudy (noseboy908):

Not really, it's just a difficult subject to explain in a simple way. I can give you this rule:|dw:1405126871894:dw|

OpenStudy (jenniferjuice):

oh i see it now

OpenStudy (noseboy908):

So, what are you left with in A when it's simplified?
