OpenStudy (bbb911):

Is the following correspondence a function will show attachment of question just write on my post

OpenStudy (bbb911):

OpenStudy (bbb911):

yes or no ?

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

if its a function \(a=b\) implies \(f(a) = f(b)\)

OpenStudy (bbb911):

so yes?

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

you CANT have an element that maps to more than one element.

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

does that happen?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A function can't map twice.

OpenStudy (bbb911):

so no?

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

we are not going to give you the answer

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

look at the picture is there an element on the left that points to more than one element on the right?

OpenStudy (bbb911):

i have no as an answer i just want to know if its correct

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

why no?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If you have an appropriate mathematics textbook it should cover this.

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

i dont think it gets much easier than 1) look at the picture 2)is there an element on the left that points to more than one element on the right? 3) if yes then its not a function, if no then it is.
