Choose the point on the terminal side of -45°.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(-3, -3) (4, -4) (5, 5) (-2, 2)

OpenStudy (armyrangers):

What quadrant is a -45° in

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Quad 2?

OpenStudy (armyrangers):

Ok so if it is in quad 2 witch point/points are in quad2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ugh I just don't understand

OpenStudy (armyrangers):

What don't you understand

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Is it asking me to chose a point that makes a 45 degree angle?

OpenStudy (armyrangers):

You are looking for a point that falls on the terminal side of the -45° angle

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How do I do that

OpenStudy (anonymous):

would I plug it in to a calculator?

OpenStudy (armyrangers):

Hold on I am going to draw you a picture

OpenStudy (armyrangers):

|dw:1405272228623:dw|

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So it would be Quad 1?

OpenStudy (armyrangers):

Well seeing how your angle in negative I would believe that it would be in quad2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

right, that's what I initially thought. im not understanding this

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If the angle theta is in the 2nd quadrant, then the reference angle is 180° - theta.

OpenStudy (armyrangers):

Ok well to me the only answer that makes sense to me is (4,-4) cause it is the only point that makes a 45° angle and it will be on the terminal side

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay, thank you

OpenStudy (armyrangers):

I mean the only one that makes a -45° angle
