What is the difference between vector form and cartesian form? @Kainui

OpenStudy (kainui):

Well cartesian usually refers to the regular old rectangular coordinates. A vector can be represented in many ways, including cartesian coordinates, but you can also have a vector be represented in polar form with an angle and length. I'd need more context to give you a better answer. But generally speaking a vector is an arrow, which is slightly different than just a point.

Well I have about 12 formulas for my 3d geometry lesson, for example, Equation of a plane in normal form is given by: Vector form: |dw:1405275514667:dw| And Cartesian form |dw:1405275540339:dw| What makes the difference?
