Algebra help please? :)

OpenStudy (imstuck):

waiting patiently... ; )

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What is not a polynomial A. z + 1 B. 2x^4 - y C. 6 + w D.\[y ^{2}-\sqrt[3]{y}+4\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I want to say it's D but im not sure

OpenStudy (imstuck):

A and C are both linear. Neither one of those are polynomials.

OpenStudy (imstuck):

Oh, wait...I'm thinking of quadratics...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Right, B or D is the one's that had me confused, I could be wrong but they both look like they have more than 1 term each

OpenStudy (imstuck):

I'd go with your first instinct of D. It's a quadratic while the others are not.

OpenStudy (imstuck):

Go for it. D.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok :) can you help with 3 more?

OpenStudy (imstuck):

I may not have time do all of them, but start with the first one...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok :) Find the degree of the polynomial. [no parenthesis, (just showing were the #2 is up)] 3pq^4 – 2p(^2)q + q^3 A.1 B.2 C.4 D.5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I dont understand what it's asking but Im thinking it's D?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nvm got it :)

OpenStudy (imstuck):

It's C, you got C?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yep :) I got 80% thank you soo much =D
