simplify equation below/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\sqrt{\frac{ (1-\cos \theta)(1+\cos \theta) }{\cos ^{2}\theta }}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I got sin theta

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hmmm I got smth else

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its =tan theta

OpenStudy (anonymous):

?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[(1-cosx)(1+cosx)=1-cos^2x=sin^2x\] So we have \[\sqrt{\frac{sin^2x}{cos^2x}}=\sqrt{tan^2x}=tanx\] Switch the x's to theta. I just forgot how to write theta in latex

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh wow -.- sorry haha that one wasn't hard... I had a brain fart

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ya i get it all the time
