how do i solve this?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (superhelp101):

i might have done this before what math is this?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

geometry

OpenStudy (superhelp101):

do mean math 2?

OpenStudy (superhelp101):

ah i see do you know what the law of sines are?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no

OpenStudy (superhelp101):

the formula for law of sines is a/sin(A) = b/sin(B) = c/sin(C), law of cosine: c^2 = a^2 + b^2 and for sin cos tan you can remember some old hippy caught another hippy trippin on acid S o/h C a/h T o/a sorry i could be any better help i did something like this last year but i forgot sort of

OpenStudy (superhelp101):

couldn't*

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so im going to use this: c^2 = a^2 + b^2

OpenStudy (superhelp101):

i believe you can, there are certain rules to picking law of sine only or law of cosine. may in the lesson in your online course they have them idk.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok well thanks anyway

OpenStudy (superhelp101):

course

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@ninjasandtigers come save me with this problem please

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok so this is a special 45 45 90 triangle or an isosceles right triangle

OpenStudy (anonymous):

we know that x and y will equal each other

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so what formula do i use or what?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

|dw:1405374362357:dw|

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so L= 1/2(3square root of 2)square root of 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im confused. do i multiplt all of that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yup :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

0.23?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i have no idea what i just did

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what does 3sqrt2*sqrt2 equal?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

5.04

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nope
