OpenStudy (samsan9):

state three terms that mean solution for quadratic equations.

OpenStudy (aum):

roots zeros x-intercepts solutions

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I doubt x-intercepts. @aum Since we have x=y^2 is a quadratic equation, too, but x-intercepts are not the solutions.

OpenStudy (aum):

I am not saying it applies to ALL quadratic equations. But if we are told x = -3 and x = 2 are the x-intercepts, can't we conclude they are the solutions to the quadratic equation?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Anyway!! they need just 3 terms, pick out "x-intercepts", then 3 left are correct in ALL quadratic equations. :)

OpenStudy (aum):

Well, the word "solution" was already in the question and they probably expect something different. I just threw it in there.
