how can i type 25'11 in my calculator?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[25^{11}\] ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I need to do a problem of tan(25 degrees) but I don't know how to put the 11

OpenStudy (anonymous):

^11

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Use the ^ arrow and place the term into parenthesis as so ( x )

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it says error domain.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

When you have tangent though if you have a variable on the other side the way to get rid of it would be to take the inverse tangent so for example: \[Tan(x) = y\] To find the x we would take the inverse tangent of both sides. \[x = \tan^-1(y)\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Did you type "25^(11)"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes I did and it still pops up as error domain.

Your calculator may not be able to handle large numbers. My calculator reads " 2.384185791 E 15"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Otherwise seen as 2.384185791 x 10^15

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If you show the exact problem or make a new post with the exact problem then someone may be able to see where the error is coming from.

OpenStudy (precal):

are you putting in the degrees?

OpenStudy (precal):

If you have a TI-84, look for the key APPS, above it is angle you have to press 2nd APPS and you will see the degree angle , underneath degree is minutes
