the inequality: y<mx+b represents everything BELOW that line, because you want y values less than that line

The vertical line is simply expressed as x=0

if you want everything to the LEFT, you basically want every x value less than zero, so the region is expressed as x<0

you know how to get the line right? the ones above it are like that. I guess the vertical one is just tripping you up haha. hopefully I cleared it up.
