OpenStudy (tywower):

One cell has more mitochondria than the other. How would having more mitochondria affect the cell's function? It would release less energy from glucose molecules. It would absorb more energy in glucose molecules. It would release more energy from glucose molecules. It would absorb less energy in glucose molecules.

OpenStudy (aaronq):

Mitochondria are organelles where cellular respiration occurs, they have protein complexes where organic molecules (e.g. pyruvate) are oxidized to generate ATP (energy). I guess the question assumes that glycolysis (the process that breaks down glucose into pyruvate) occurs in the the mitochondria (which actually occurs in the cytosol).

OpenStudy (masumanwar):

mitochondria is the power house of the cell if presents more mitochondria will produce more energy
