Can someone help me with a graph problem?
so wut are you trying to find the equation for the line?
which one of the Equations matches the graph. @lacrosseplayer22
if so then you have to use the equation y=mx+b. where m is the slope. and b is the y intercept. the y intercept of the graph is 300 because that's where it crosses on the y axis. and the slope is -100/150. because the slope is rise/run. in this case its more of a fall over run. now plug all the info into y=mx+b. y=-100/150x+300 that is the equation in slope intercept form. if your question asks for standard form it would be 100/150x+y=300
it may be easier to use the std form and then convert to slope-intercept if needed. the LCM of 300 and 450 is 900. this implies that 2x + 3y = 900. why? because when x is 0, y = 300, and when y is 0, x = 450. solve for y if you need slope-intercept form.
Points are (450,0)(0,300) slope m=(300-0)(0-450) =-2/3 point (450,0) m= -2/3 y-0 =(-2/3)(x-450) y=-2x+300 2x+y=300 Source: http://www.mathskey.com/question2answer/
these are the answers.. -2x + 3y > 7 2x - 3y < 7 -3x + 2y ≥ 7 3x - 2y ≤ 7 @Bradely @pgpilot236 @lacrosseplayer22
@pgpilot326
@bradely should be y = -2/3 x + 300 => 2x+3y=900
what is the question coolcatsclan?
this is it
already did that one
It wasn't one of the answers though @pgpilot326
@pgpilot326
The dashed line tells you that points on the line are not included. So that leaves out the last two answers since they have an equal sign in them. Note that the shaded part is all the possible answers. So now just find the value of x when y=0 for the first two answers. You will see that answer one does not include all of the shaded area. So answer two is the correct answer.
