You want to determine which part of a plant is actually sensitive to light for phototropism. Which of the following would be a good first experiment? Shine the light from one side only. Then measure the auxin diffusing down the stem on the light areas. Remove the apical tip and apply auxin before beginning light treatments. Cover one part (for instance, the tip or base) before beginning light treatments
it was cover one part (c)
@deepika.comet is good in the botany part
It was actually experimented by Sir Charles Darwin and his son Francis Darwin espcially in the phalaris canariensis for studying the auxin behaviour.. later the phototrophic and geotrophic movements in the plants were studied by cholodney - went and was stated in cholodney went theory..
Coloeptiles and stem tips when exposed to unilateral light, auxin accumulates towards the shaded side due to lateral transport of auxin from illuminated side under the influence of light and promote growth in that region while the growth towards exposed side is less.. this retricemmetrical growth results in bending of the tips towards light
so i would like you to tel the answer from the information above if it was helpful... @stefanyannc
u there..!!
no it was c
