@Squirrels

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2x-3y=-1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

shift everything to the left except y

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i mean right -.-

OpenStudy (anonymous):

get the y alone is pretty much what im saying

OpenStudy (squirrels):

Oh so you want to isolate y? ok well first you want to subtract 2x to both sides. Now the equation is... -3y=-1-2x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

this is still trying to find the slope

OpenStudy (squirrels):

OH ok.. now you divide 3 to both sides. \[y=\frac{ -1-2x }{ -3 }\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay

OpenStudy (squirrels):

\[\frac{ -2x }{ -3 }=mx\] mx=slope

OpenStudy (squirrels):

:3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what happened to the -1 haha

OpenStudy (squirrels):

its still there lol thats y=mx+b lol

OpenStudy (squirrels):

or this is what i mean \[y=\frac{ -2 }{ -3 }x - \frac{ -1 }{ -3 }\] its the same thing really.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you

OpenStudy (squirrels):

youre welcome!
