I've been chosen to make sandwiches for a picnic. I want to pack one club sandwich and two regular sandwiches for each person, plus an extra Dagwood sandwich for myself. A club sandwich has 3 slices of bread. A regular sandwich has 2 slices. A Dagwood has 5 slices. If there are n people going to the picnic (including myself), how many slices of bread do I need? Write your answer as a fully simplified expression. Your answer should have the variable n in it exactly once.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Make a expression for it using N

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Im not great at this but i can try after you tell me what you think it is

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What do you think it would look like make a guess no matter what dont tell me i dont know

OpenStudy (anonymous):

3+4+15n random guess please don't critisize

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Actually close to my guess but you would need it like this (3+4+15)N to show that you do addition first

OpenStudy (anonymous):

As far as im concerned good job

OpenStudy (anonymous):

YESSSSSSSSSSS

OpenStudy (anonymous):

See if its right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Was it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do i do?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is the answer (3+4+15)n

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think it is

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Let me ask

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well it's not right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What was it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Abhisar @Luigi0210

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Luigi and Abhisar could you help with this?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

they won't tell me until I get it right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I called for help

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok thanks for all the help your awesome!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@robtobey @dan815 Could you help with this we cant get it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Is the answer 7n + 5 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yesssssss it is

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yay!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks man

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks @IsaiahCC100 and @robtobey

OpenStudy (anonymous):

N (c + 2 r) + 5 Replace c and r with 3 and 2 respectively and evaluate the result.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(This is a continuation of the picnic problem.) Given that I end up using 110 slices of bread, how many people are going to the picnic (including myself)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can anybody help

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do 7n + 5 to solve it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what do you mean

OpenStudy (anonymous):

7 n+5=110

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks robto

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't get what the answer is

OpenStudy (anonymous):

FInd out what n is

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is it 15

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Is 15 times 7 + 5 110?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Then thats it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh thanks!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If you have anymore i cant do them im about to leave school.

OpenStudy (anonymous):
