The density of a substance describes how much matter is present in one unit of the substance's volume. The formula for density is D = M/V where m is the mass of the substance and V is the substance's volume. If the density of a substance is equal to 2.5 g/mL and its mass is equal to 5 g, what is the volume of the substance? 0.5 mL 12.5 mL 2 mL 7.5 mL @TinkerbellGirl

Just a minute let me think :)

Hey do you think you could figure this out, I'm kinda stuck @Abhisar

OpenStudy (abhisar):

\(\huge \sf Density = \frac{mass}{volume}\\ \Rightarrow \huge 2.5 = \huge \frac{5}{v}\\ => Volume = 2 ml\)

Oh ok I get now :)), Thanks @Abhisar
