@hartnn You know?
Or know someone that might?
maybe @paki , @uri or @saifoo_khan
@ziqbal103 yeah 60% marks are the eligible marks range for NUST.... a 60% mean, only 60%, not 59.99% rite.... if you have 60% or more score, then apply for NUST... for more details, please have a look here... each and every thing is over in the link... please go through it... http://nust.edu.pk/Admissions/Under-Graduate/Pages/Eligibility-Criteria.aspx
If you add together "All admissions are governed by open merit. " and "A minimum of 60% aggregate marks each in Matric and HSSC / equivalent exams is required." then you will see that even at 60% your chances are slim. See, language like that generally means, "Here is our minimum, but we get so many people better than the minimum that you will be hard pressed if you are that low." Always best to do better than the minimum or have something else that will gain merit.
yeah agree @e.mccormick ... for NUST usually >80% are needed... merit is very high over there...
thanks @e.mccormick @paki and @hartnn
@paki i mean marks in f.s.c must be 85%?or just in entry test you should get 85% marks?
moreover i called there in university and they said me that 60% is necessary but i don't understand that what does its mean...should we must have 60% in nts test.... or in f.s.c result marks ???
You should get the very highest score you can. It is clear it is competitive. That means higher is better.
but i don't know that as i cleare above i think @paki can tell me but now @paki is not online??? @e.mccormick
It does not look like paki is on at the moment. Let me put it this way: Lets say there are 100 spots for new students. The minimum to apply is a score of 60. Now lets say 1000 people apply. How many are going to have just 60? What happens if the top 100 have a score of 90? They get the 100 spots and the other 900 get nothing. That is what competitive means. Do not worry about the minimum. Do the best you can. Get the highest score you can. The minimum is not reliable in a competitive entrance system.
@ziqbal103 yeah it mean 60% score in fsc.... rite... and @e.mccormick has explained it in a very nice manner...
okay.@paki
