Help check? I am not sure if I am correct but the equation connecting Speed, Distance, and Time is: D=RT Correct? So if I have, a problem like : A car travels at a steady speed of 20 m/s. calculate the distance travelled at 5s. Will I be correct by writing d= 20 * 5 =100?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes, look at the units as a double check m/s * s = m which is what you want right? Don't forgt your units.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wait, can you explain how to accomplish that??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you want to end up with meters since x is in meters (I assume). On the right side you currently have time^2, so the units of that is s^2. What do you multiply s^2 by to bet meters? m/s^2. So meters = (meters/s^2) * s^2

Okay! Thank you!!.
