\[y ^{2}(-y+4)-7y ^{3}\]
OpenStudy (anonymous):
simplifying
would equal to 3y^2-7y^3
OpenStudy (anonymous):
@Hero
OpenStudy (anonymous):
I was getting:\[4y^2-8y^3\]
OpenStudy (dangerousjesse):
Mind sharing how you got that answer? @Landon_Buckland

i thought the y^2 time the -y would be -y^2
OpenStudy (mitu12):
i got 4y^2-8y^3
OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):
how did you got 3y^2?
OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):
you thought wrong dear jcr^_^
OpenStudy (anonymous):
sure, distrubute over the first part..\[4y^2-y^3-7y^3\]combine like terms..\[4y^2-8y^3\]then you can factor out 4y^2 to get..\[4y^2(1-2y)\]
