can someone tell me that if the zero on the main and vernier scale coincide then is it a zero error?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nope! It means the instrument has no error! but it rarely happens

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then can u explain me what is a zero error

OpenStudy (anonymous):

main and vernier scale dont coincide!..vernier scale will be either at more or less position! more means positive error and less means negative error! so u do ur calculations accordingly!

is this the zero error ?
