Explain how the Quotient of Powers was used to simplify this expression. By simplifying 25 to 52 to make both powers base five, and subtracting the exponents By simplifying 25 to 52 to make both powers base five, and adding the exponents By finding the quotient of the bases to be, and cancelling common factors By finding the quotient of the bases to be, and simplifying the expression

\(\LARGE\color{black}{ \frac{5^4}{25} =\frac{5^4}{5^2} =5^{4-2}=5^2=25}\)

So does that make it D ? @SolomonZelman

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

I don't really understand the first part of the sentence of option D.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Im confused on which answer to choose

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

It is definitely not C, because you are NOT canceling common factors. Not B, because you don't add the exponents. A. you make the 25 to 5 base five raise to power of 2, and subtract exponents as I showed.
