OpenStudy (bibby):

Can someone rationalize this for me? I reported 2 separate instances of rule breaking and somehow I'm report spamming? Thanks a lot @tkhunny http://puu.sh/b8OkF/6606702c2a.png

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

It appears to be well-explained. I counted about half as many violations as you reported. Don't do that. Seems pretty rational to me.

OpenStudy (bibby):

That's incredibly dismissive. I don't even get another mod's reaction? How is that remotely fair?

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

@bibby How many warnings and suspensions have you had? Truthfully, you have a credibility problem. When you lodge a complaint, I MUST wonder who really is the problem. If you would stay off the edge, totally away from inappropriate behavior, you would find no injustice, here. P.S. Thank you for making this discussion public. Perhaps others can learn from it, as well.

OpenStudy (bibby):

Yeah. The only thing I'm getting from this is previous suspensions are grounds for mistreatment like this. I get that I'm overreacting, but the fact that you used a warning and called it spam as opposed to just sending me a message genuinely upset me for some reason

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

Note: I also went through the specific complaints you logged and took what appeared to be necessary action on those, too. I was not just hunting for you - history or no history. It is my practice to review the entire chat, not just the specific reported violation - when a complaint is logged. ANYONE exhibiting ANY inappropriate behavior will have some action taken. Definition: When there are substantially more complaints than there are problems, it is "Reporting Spam". Perhaps I wasn't quick enough and you decided to report the same violations twice? I'm not sure. In any case, the imbalance between complaints and problems seemed appropriate grounds for a warning. History: There have also been "Reporting Spam" wars going on, lately, so it may be prudent to get on any behavior that LOOKS like the prevailing offense, just to try to put a stop to it. You may not have been aware of these goings on. They may have been on chats where you do not participate. Previous suspensions are not grounds for mistreatment. Mistreatment has not been established, here. They ARE grounds for decreased credibility. It is a subjective thing. Seriously, just stay away from behavior contrary to the Code of Conduct and your can regain credibility. It's too subjective to mandate. You have to earn it back. It takes time. I don't purposefully decide anything against you. It's a vague, subjective impression that is subconsciously attached to the complaints of repeat offenders. Don't be a repeat offender. Simple.

OpenStudy (bibby):

Just for reference, if someone says "lmfao" twice, I only have to report one of them?

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

...and because it appears twice, I may take action twice. I may warn the first and suspend the second. If you feel a need to report something, you should report it. Note, however, that if it appears twice and you report twice, there is equality between violation and report. If there are two violations and you make four reports, something is off.

OpenStudy (bibby):

I don't have the logs, but I'm almost positive I didn't do that. Oh well, at least I can actually see your point and logic now

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

I did review the logs and actually counted the two items, or that action would not have been taken. Thanks for the open discussion.
