systems of equations with 3 variables x+y+z=6 2x+y+2z=14 3x+3y+z

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so far, i have multiplied the first equation by -2 and got -2x-2y-2z=-12, then i added it with the second equation and got y=-2. i dont know what to from there...

@aum

OpenStudy (aum):

Multiply the first equation by -3 and add it to the third equation to find z. Looks like the RHS of third equation is missing though.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the third equation is 3x+3y+z=8

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i got 5 for z

OpenStudy (aum):

Correct. Put y = -2 and z = 5 in first equation and find x.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

3,-2,5?

OpenStudy (aum):

Correct, but you should specify which variable has which value. x = 3, y = -2, z = 5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok, thanks. I have one more. can you check it when i finish?
