Help Please!! Kinda hard 9th grade algebra 1
Step 1: Write five word phrases to be translated using the various key terms from the lesson. Examples must include variables, and there must be at least one example with an addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, parenthesis and exponent, and one with a combination of phrases or symbols. Step 2: Provide the algebraic translations to the five word phrases from Step 1. Step 3: Write five different algebraic expressions to be translated. Examples must include variables, and there must be at least one example with an addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, parenthesis and exponent, and one with a combination of phrases or symbols. Step 4: Provide the translations of the expressions from Step 3. Step 5: Create your own example of a mathematical phrase you might hear in the real world, and provide the translation for it. Be sure to identify what part of the phrase is represented by your variable.
@TinkerbellGirl
Its confusing right @TinkerbellGirl
Haha ya it is but I'll try
For the first one I think it means something like this the sum of x and 5 I don't know though
Ok so just give me a minute
ok
I was helping this girl get fans and like 13 people fanned me!
wait did you just answer that whole thing buy your self?
whats step 2 number 5 with the question marks?
and if you read the question there is only like 5 questions not 10 because you didn't need to make the whole second step I know know @TinkerbellGirl
wait I figured out why you did that never mind!!
\(\LARGE Thanks\)
I took down the question, did you still get it
yes what about number 5 on the second step??
STEP 5 I just got my paycheck from work, and it's for $370! But my mom is making be give 10 dollars of it to each of my brothers! Translation: 370 - 10x. Does that make sense?
Wait please tell you didn't delete your answer I still needed it!
Ha ok just give me a sec
STEP 1 1. The sum of 10 and x minus 5 percent of x. 2. The quotient of x and 70. 3. 5 times the quantity x squared. 4. 17 decreased by the quantity x. 5. x increased by the square root of 29. STEP 2 1. (10 + x) - .5(x). 2. x/70 3. 5(x^2) 4. 17-x 5. x + √29 For steps 3 and 4, do essentially what I did for 1 + 2 but opposite: write the equations first then use your words. Come up with unique ones. It's really simple, you can do it!
your missing 1 in the step 2 part
@TinkerbellGirl
Ya I'm here but what am I missing? Cuz I'm confused
you put this STEP 2 1. (10 + x) - .5(x). 2. x/70 3. 5(x^2) 4. 17-x 5. x + 29 were's number 5
and what are the question marks
Ha its one of those check mark sign thingys, you know what I'm talking about
5. x + √29 no its there haha i just forgot to push enter to put it on the next line. so 17-x 5 and x + √29 are separate
one
sec
so its this x + \[\sqrt{29}\]
ok thanks brb
Yep and ok
I know I owe you but before I do You need to help me some more...
if you want
@TinkerbellGirl
Kk
just give me a minute to study the lesson then I will ask question just but 5-10 minutes maybe less
