How do you find a positive and a negative coterminal angle of 180 degrees and 20 minutes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Two angles a are coterminal if their sum is a multiple of 360°. What that means is that two angles are coterminal when they start and end in the same place. Examples of Coterminal angles are 180° and − 180° 170° and − 190° 100° and − 260° 360° and 720 ° 360° and − 360° source: http://www.mathwarehouse.com/coterminal-angle/how-to-calculate-coterminal-angles.php

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so basically add/subtract 360 to the number you are trying to find the coterminal of

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so what would be a postive coterminal angle of 180

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I know its 540 but the question I have also has minutes. 360* 30'

OpenStudy (anonymous):

before we go there what is the negative coter of 180

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-180

OpenStudy (anonymous):

good!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the min hand completes a circle on the clock when it covers 360 degree in 60 mins

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so 1 min = 6 degrees

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if one minute = 6 degrees than how many degrees are there in 20 min?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

120 minutes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

120 degrees right not minutes haha:P so now add and subtract 360 to find your coterminal angels
