Help with functions, please. :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A rational function is by definition the quotient of two polynomials. ... This technique is called Decomposition of rational functions into a sum of partial fractions.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So based off that information, do I just turn all the given x and y values into fractions and add them together?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Bingo

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So the first table is... -1/4, 3/2, and -2/3 the second table is... -1/4, -2/2, and 5/-3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

now do I add the three fractions from each table together and then add the 2 sums?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes that's your answer good job ^~^

OpenStudy (anonymous):

For the first one I got: 7/12 and for the second: -31/12 (p-q)(2) (7/12 - -31/12)(2) (7/12 + 31/12)(2) (38/12)(2) 76/12 =19/3 or 6.3

@Objection @Jaynator495 @Kerie_lovee16 I gotta go right now to these guys will help you later.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah I'm definitely going to need some help. Apparently the answer was five and I somehow got 6.3. Thank you for your help though. ^^
