3x > -3 solve the equation
you can start and finish it by divide both sides by 3.
x>-1
http://www.purplemath.com/modules/ineqsolv.htm This may be useful gaze, but fill me in on your steps again
oh okay makes sense ty @geerky42 and thank you to @FibonacciChick666 for that site
wow okay
not thanks to me I see
thank you too @orangejuicegood i thanked them because they told me how to do it myself you just solved it for me sorry
np
@geerky42 what about this one? its harder because it has multiple parts would it be like 8P + 2 > 3P - 15 8P+3P>15-2 11P>13?
to get 3P to other side, you just subtract 3P from both sides do the same for 2 So you have: \( 8P+2 > 3P-15\\ 8P + 2 \color{red}{-3P}> 3P \color{red}{-3P} - 15 \\ 8P -3P + 2 > - 15 \\ 8P - 3P + 2 \color{red}{-2} > - 15 \color{red}{-2}\\ 8P - 3P > - 15 -2\\\)
treat it just like an equals sign, you know how to do it. The only time it differs is if you are dividing by a negative
okay so would it be P>-2.6 or 2.6?
@geerky42 @FibonacciChick666
show me your steps
well I just finished geerky's steps above the 8P+2>3P-15 8P+2-3P>3P-3P-15 5P+2-2>-15-2
do the last few too
i just saw what I did wrong i made the -15 into -13 and not -17 so the answer should be -3.4 5P>-17 P=-3.4
can you prove it to me with no uncertainty if asked?
yes
alrighty then, good job :)
thank you guys so much :)
