Will give medal and fan!! Please Helppp!! The area of a rectangular piece of land is 240 square meters. If the length of the land was 5 meters less and the width was 3 meters more, the shape of the land would be a square. Part A: Write an equation to find the width (x) of the land. Show the steps of your work. (5 points) Part B: What is the width of the land in meters? Show the steps of your work. (5 points)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I only need Part B

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I already got Part A

OpenStudy (kkutie7):

What is he answer to part a?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think its right but Im not sure... its w=12 for part a

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Kkutie7

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

Part A says "write an equation to find". You should do that.

OpenStudy (kkutie7):

What is this length's units? The second part just sounds like they want you to write the answer of w with its units... yards meters ft. ect.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@tkhunny I only need Part B I have Part A

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

You do not have part A if you: 1) Are not sure, and 2) Wrote only w = 12 What did you get for part A? You need an equation that, when solved, will give you "w". It shoudl NOT be solved for "w".

No, it wasn't. This problem was made complete by someone else and I have no confidence that you learned anything. That is not simpler. Good luck.
