Can someone help me? :/ I'm not sure how to do this problem http://i57.tinypic.com/2d8gglw.jpg

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ur trying to solve for x. so using alternate interior angles you know that 2x + x has to equal 180

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so i just set it up as 2x+x=180 3x=180 then divide ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yup assuming that lines l and m are paralell then that is what you would do

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay thank you ;o so then for this one http://i58.tinypic.com/2e3suhe.jpg it would be the same ?3x+2x=180?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@tejasvir

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you could do 3x+2x+90 = 180

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can you explain where the 90 came from ?

OpenStudy (abb0t):

There's a right angle.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so they are corresponding angles ?

OpenStudy (dan815):

listen think about balancing scales
