Data analysis: Question - Are attacks of ringed replicas higher or lower in the presence of coral snakes? Is this true for both states? What evidence supports your answer?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hi @ParthKohli, would you be able to help?

Parth (parthkohli):

Hmm, if you divide the graph into four rectangles as shown, then: a - the upper right and the lower left rectangles have more of the share. b - the upper right and the lower left rectangles have more of the share.

Parth (parthkohli):

And so both of the graphs a and b say that with the absence of coral snakes, the attacks on ringed replicas are high in number.

Parth (parthkohli):

And with the presence of coral snakes, the attacks on ringed replicas are low in number.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@ParthKohli sounds simple enough. Therefore it is true for both states that attacks on ringed replicas are lower in the presence of the coral snakes?

Parth (parthkohli):

I think so.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hm ok i can see how you determined that. Would you be able to asset me with one more question regarding this data?

Parth (parthkohli):

Mhm, let's see...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Based on this evidence, what do you conclude is the effect of having markings similar to a coral snake, in areas where coral snakes are present?

Parth (parthkohli):

You don't get attacked.
