5a^-2(6a^-3)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Simplify

OpenStudy (anonymous):

30/a5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is it right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How did you get the answer ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

was it right

OpenStudy (joannablackwelder):

Is it \[5a ^{-2}(6a^{-3})\] ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yess

OpenStudy (joannablackwelder):

My fault. @heavenfun13 is right. You multiply the constants to make 30 and add the exponents to make -5. So far that gives\[30a ^{-5}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okk.

OpenStudy (joannablackwelder):

Then to make the exponent positive, you could move it to the denominator.\[\frac{ 30 }{ a ^{5} }\]

OpenStudy (joannablackwelder):

Make sense, @YDCEE ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Definitely.
