Help please! A car travelling north-west at 50km/h changes direction to a bearing of 260. If it continues at the same speed, find the change in velocity.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's bearing of 260 degrees

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ahhh.. Okay, so I bet I'm wrong. Velocity is different from speed.

OpenStudy (mrnood):

I need to check this out, but the 2 velocities have the same magnitude, and are separated by an angle. NW is angle 315, so the change is 55deg. I think you need to subtract these vectors to find the change in velocity: |dw:1409665262423:dw| |dw:1409665417576:dw|
