How is constructing a perpendicular bisect similar to constructing an angle bisector? How is it different?

Basically, you do almost the same thing to construct a perpendicular bisector as an angle bisector: you pick two points, equidistant from the vertex and draw short arcs from those points into the middle of the angle. Draw a line between the vertex and the point of intersection of the two arcs and there's your angle bisector! You do almost the same for a perpendicular bisector, except you have to draw arcs on both sides of the line and draw a line between the two points of intersection. I'm sorry if this explanation is a little confusing
