OpenStudy (jessicawade):

im just looking fro some tutor help im in highschool

so i have a question and my math teacher refuses to reply, i am HORRIBLE at math and here goes nothing.

OpenStudy (jessicawade):

2.Find the z score that corresponds to P99, the 99th percentile of a standard normal distribution curve. A. 2.33 B. 0.01 C. 0.99 D. –2.33

OpenStudy (jessicawade):

OpenStudy (dbzfan836):

OpenStudy (jessicawade):

OpenStudy (jessicawade):

OpenStudy (dbzfan836):

@undeadknight26

OpenStudy (dbzfan836):

this I dont know but maybe broskishelleh does

OpenStudy (dbzfan836):

@adrynicoleb

OpenStudy (jessicawade):

@Broskishelleh

OpenStudy (broskishelleh):

You are correct except for the fact it isn't negative. The 99th percentile is 2.33 alone.

OpenStudy (jessicawade):

oh how so? i dont know how to find the percentile

OpenStudy (broskishelleh):

Z-Score Table: http://math.tutorvista.com/statistics/z-score-table.html The percentiles go as so: the 99th percentile is found in much the same way. find a close number to .99 => I find a .9901, The row has the number 2.3, the column has .03, this means the z-score is 2.33.

OpenStudy (jessicawade):

lost lol

OpenStudy (broskishelleh):

Look at the table

OpenStudy (jessicawade):

actually nvm i got it now

OpenStudy (jessicawade):

1. Find z0.05. A. 0.4801 B. -1.645 C. 1.645 D. 0.5199

OpenStudy (broskishelleh):

Use the table again

OpenStudy (jessicawade):

i dont understand this one at all :/

OpenStudy (broskishelleh):

Alright the top bar shows 0.05, right?

OpenStudy (broskishelleh):

Find a, b, c or d in that row

OpenStudy (jessicawade):

ohhh

OpenStudy (jessicawade):

i didnt find it

OpenStudy (broskishelleh):

OpenStudy (broskishelleh):

Well it is C

OpenStudy (jessicawade):
